The original painting of ‘Grizzly’ is pretty imposing at 66 x 78 inches in size. In order to capture the sheer size of this fabulous Brown Bear Paul felt he needed to paint this huge canvas. The idea was conceived at the same time as ‘Chillin’ the Polar Bear and they do work very well as a pair of Limited-Edition prints.
With the encroachment of mankind into what were once wild spaces; more and more bears are finding their way into the ever-sprawling urban landscapes, so the image is not as far-fetched as it might first appear. That being said although this piece may portray a serious message, Paul has taken a lighter approach and introduced a range of other famously named bears and bear related matters into the imagery. Probably the most prominent one is ‘Paddington’ taken from the sign of the London Borough. Then there’s ‘Baloo’ on the paint tin and ‘BooBoo’ honey. A graffitied ‘Pooh’ on the wall with reference to a ‘picnic site’; a reference to the teddy bear’s picnic. ‘Fozzie’ is also showing as a graffiti ‘tag’ on the wall just below the ‘Big Surprise’ from the song ‘if you go down to the woods today….’ Just above that you’ll see ‘Eddies Doin porridge’ reference to ‘Goldilocks’. Then there’s ‘Rupert’s nasty chemicals and ‘Yogi’ discarded tea packet and coke bottle. Not only is this a ‘Grizzly bear’ it is also a ‘Grizzly’ scene.

The overall size of this Mounted Giclée paper print is 76cm high x 84cm wide. A typical frame may add another +/- 8cm to each dimension when framed.
Giclée Paper – Framed With Our Optional Black Gloss Or Matt Wooden Frame
When you select this option, your Giclée paper print will arrive to you mounted and framed, ready to hang.
Our choice of off-white mount and striking black high gloss or classic matt frames suit Paul’s artwork magnificently. When you select the framed option in the drop down list, the main image will change to show you how this finished framed artwork will look.
The print is protected behind glass within the frame and your framed piece will arrive to you in sturdy cardboard packaging.
The overall size when framed is cm 100wide x 94cm high (gloss) or 92cm wide x 84cm high (matt).

When you select this option, your Giclée canvas print will arrive to you pre-stretched over a quality wooden box structure. The box structure means this option is ready to hang and you do not need an additional frame.
