‘Prudent Gordon’ is a very significant original piece, a member of the ‘Head in the clouds’ collection, by Paul James. (https://bit.ly/PaulJames-HeadInTheClouds)

Why Gordon and why Prudent? Well, here is the answer…

Whilst Paul was painting he was searching for a title, as he does and the cow reminded him of Gordon Brown who was in the news a lot at the time. Gordon Brown was in fact chancellor of the exchequer and often used to say that there was a need to be prudent.

Before coming to the Paul James Museum this piece was on display inside a charming windmill surrounded by the peaceful Cheshire countryside where ‘Prudent Gordon’ must have been in his element.

The previous owners, who have been admiring ‘Prudent Gordon’ since 2008, put their personal touch on this piece by adding a gold frame and glass for additional protection of the original artwork.

If you would like to purchase ‘Prudent Gordon’, but want to change the frame, then please don’t hesitate to ask and we can help you create a frame that will suit your room. If you send a picture of your wall space we can show you what this piece will look like?

The details and brightness of this piece is just beautiful – it has to be viewed really to be fully appreciated.

It’s a piece that will definitely turn heads.
