“That’s my field!”

We had a remarkable viewing at our museum with the lovely Lucy and Martin last week.

Martin had barely turned the corner before he spotted an original painting, completed by Paul in the 80s, when he told us “That’s my field!”.

After a quick phone call to Paul who confirmed the painting was of a landscape not far from Eye Brook Reservoir in Rutland, and a Google Maps search, Martin was able to locate the exact spot of the painting. The field still has the exact same gate as in the painting, which Martin told us he has been through thousands of times.
